Embattled NYC Schools Nominee Sells House at a Discount

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s controversial pick for schools chancellor cannot catch a break.

Cathleen Black’s nomination is in trouble, the Atlantic reports, and she’s also having problems on the real estate front.

Black’s 1839 five-bedroom house in Bridgewater, Connecticut sold for $370,000 less than she was asking for it, according to the New York Times.

Klemm Real Estate listed the the house at $2.35 million. It went for $1.98 million.
