Two of central Connecticut's major shopping hubs, West Hartford Center and Blue Back Square, are teaming up tomorrow evening to create a walkable Winter Wonderland for shoppers, diners and families alike. Free to the public horse-drawn carriage rides will prance down Farmington Avenue, while choral groups from Conard and Hall serenade the streets.
Guest of honor, Mr. and Mrs. Claus, and of course, the teams of NBC Connecticut, WRCH-FM, and WTIC-FM will be there to meet and greet and family fun, in the forms of face painting, animal exhibits, and crafts will be available to entertain the little ones while the grown-up's shop.
Barbara Lerner, Blue Back's Project Marketing Manager, promises this year they will be "upping the ante" after the two-year old shopping center witnessed success and praise from last year's attendees.
The Holiday Stroll will begin in both locations starting at 5:30 PM on Thursday, Dec. 3, and will last until 8:30 PM (or last elf standing.)
