RAVE RESORT: Twinkle By Wenlan channeled the teeny bopper in all of us with playful hemlines, splotches of floral, and bold stripes, topped off with pouty neon pink and orange lips for her Spring 2010 collection. She seems to have traded in her knitting needles for petals of chiffon and plunging collars, giving her whimsical collection appeal to those of legal drinking age. Beige and black tied the collection together, livened up with lime green, fluorescent pink, and aquatic shades of blue.

HIGHER GROUND: Carlos Campos' background is in menswear, but his SS10 collection was pure female on the run from the fellas. Lots of grays over bold blues, with athletic stripes and lamé, making for swim and cocktail suits galore. The presentation, at Twelve 21, involved revolving models on platforms, posing at your every whim so the audience could capture the full collection at once. We were able to spend the full time eyeing on particular pair of metallic violet paper bag waist shorts, that would look equally fantastic with black tights and an oxford or an American Apparel tri-blend tank, that we can't wait to join our Spring wardrobes next year.

ORGANICALLY FUSED: Cushnie et Ochs has quite the title to live up to. Not only were they named Parson's Designer of the Year, they had been labeled as the "next Proenza Schouler." This time for their third Fashion Week, the eco-friendly duo devised a plan to create a vividly colored collection to break away from their normally neutral palette. While coral and sky blue were the only other options in sight (aside from white, ivory, and black, of course) the collection's real highlight were the draped but body skimming mini dresses ready for only the most daring red carpet starlets.

Check out our interview backstage with Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs are the duo behind Cushnie et Ochs, just minutes before their collection hit the runway!
