Don't let streaky sunscreen get you down.

There's something unsatisfying about sunscreen from a bottle or a can. A greasy layer of this goo that never seems to fully absorb into your skin, and rarely allows for a streak-free tan. Even worse, heat and sweat can make your sunscreen run, leaving you with little protection in the places you need it the most.

However, always having been a fan of Bare Escentuals, when I was sent their new loose powder SPF 30, I was confident they had aimed for greatness. Using the ever popular method of "tap and buff," the built-in kabuki brush twists up and releases a small amount of powder.

The lightweight powder doesn't feel heavy or greasy - in fact, you might forget you have it on - but it still packs a hefty SPF 30 that really protects. (Trust me, on my beach-side weekend I thought I'd lay off the product for a day because I had my initial doubts about it's effectiveness, and came back crisp and burnt. This product means business.)

Blendable under makeup, packed with Vitamins A, C, and E, and equally protecting both your face and bod, this is a beach bag must-have.

Find bareMinerals SPF 30 Sunscreen in 3 skin tones at the Bare Escentuals store in the Westfarms Mall or online.
