Liquor stores may not be the only place to buy wine in Connecticut anymore.

Wine connoisseurs may soon be able to purchase vino produced in Connecticut at any farmer's market in the state.  The bill would give consumers the chance to purchase locally grown foods and locally produced wines simultaneously.

The bill that was unanimously approved Thursday by a legislative committee but must still be approved by the legislature and would go into effect immediately if Governor Jodi Rell's signs off on it.

There are at least 19 local wineries and dozens of farmer's market's across the state.
