4 Trucks Crash on I-95 in Old Saybrook

Four trucks were involved in a crash on I-95 on the Old Saybrook/Westbrook town line Wednesday afternoon. The Department of Consumer Protection was called to inspect the cargo in one of the trucks, State Police said.

At least four tractor-trailers were involved in a crash on Interstate 95 on the Old Saybrook- Westbrook town line.

The northbound lanes of the highway were shut down, but one lane reopened around 2 p.m., according to State Police.

The state Department of Transportation said the crash is between exits 66 and 67 in Westbtrook. State police said the crash is in Old Saybrook.

There were injuries in the crash, State Police said.

One of the trucks involved was carrying bananas.  The Department of Consumer Protection was called to the scene to inspect the cargo, according to State Police.
