Asylum Ave. Still Closed After Worker Is Struck

A construction worker was badly injured when a driver hit him on Asylum Avenue on Monday evening.

Robert Savage, 49, of Austin, Texas, who was working on a sewer link at Asylum Avenue and Ballard Drive, was crossing the street when he was struck, police said. He was taken to St. Francis Hospital with critical injuries.

The road remains closed on Tuesday.
