An 18-year-old Southington woman was killed in a crash on Interstate 691 in Cheshire Friday morning.

Alexandra Rogers, of the Plantsville section of Southington, was driving near exit 3 on the eastbound side of the highway when she lost control of her car, spun out across the median, into the westbound lanes and into the path of another vehicle, according to the police report

The second driver struck Rogers’ car, police said. She was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.

The other driver sustained minor injuries. Police are investigating.
