It will likely cost thousands of dollars to clean up the scene of a tractor-trailer crash that closed Interstate 95 North on Friday morning, but no taxpayer money will be used.

The trucking company involved in the crash has assumed the responsibility and is picking up the tab, according to Gov. M. Jodi Rell’s office.

Interstate 95 northbound was closed between exits 50 and 51, in New Haven and East Haven, after the tractor-trailer crash at the Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge, one of the busiest sections of highway in the state.

The crash was reported shortly after 4:30 a.m. Friday. It's not clear if anyone was injured.

Authorities say the truck is leaking fuel onto the highway.
