Morning Metro-North Delays

Commuters heading from Connecticut into Grand Central on Metro-North are facing delays this morning, due to overhead wire damage in Port Chester, NY

At 7:25 a.m., trains were delayed approximately 30 minutes.

A spokesman for Metro-North says the commuter line is operating at full speed on only one track, at a restricted speed on a second track, and the remaining two tracks are out of service.

The trains are powered by overhead wires, but wind and debris have landed on the wires causing damage, according to the spokesman.

Delays are expected through the morning rush hour.
