Cold Front to Usher in Cooler Air This Weekend

Near record warmth today

Near record warmth today will be replaced by more seasonable weather this weekend.

Temperatures will soar into the lower 60s this afternoon with a good amount of sunshine, especially early in the afternoon. High clouds will increase late in the day.

The record at Windsor Locks is 64 and the record at Bridgeport is 62. It will be close!

Clouds thicken up for tomorrow and there will be scattered showers. It won't rain the whole day, but it will be wet from time to time. Temperatures will be near 50 degrees.

Sunday's the pick of the weekend with lots of sunshine but temperatures will only be in the middle 40s. An offshore batch of rain could result in stubborn high clouds along the shoreline.

Dry, seasonable weather continues on Monday before the next weather-maker.

A storm will bring rain showers later Tuesday and perhaps a steady rain on Wednesday.
