Happy Chilly New Year

The year 2008 ended with a snowstorm and 2009 is beginning with some frigid temperatures.
If you go out for the New Year, where hats, gloves and lots of layers. There is a wind chill advisory Thursday morning. It was issued because the wind chill index might reach 15 to 24 degrees below 0 for at least three hours.
The thermometer measured 7 degrees in Glastonbury early Thursday but the wind chill made it feels like it's 5 below.
The eastern part of the state saw the most white. From Norwich to Putnam, 7-and-a-half inches piled up Wednesday.
The National Weather Service recommends that if you do have to go outside, to layer it up.
