Snow, Ice, Wind Caused Commuting Issues

The snow is moving out of the state after leaving a coating to about an inch in parts of the state. The highest snow total this morning was 2 inches reported in East Killingly.

The snow led to school delays in Brooklyn, Killingly, Stafford, Thompson, Union and the Region One School District, which includes Canaan, Cornwall, Kent, North Canaan, Salisbury and Sharon.

There were issues on the road in Tolland. A truck driver is in critical condition after the tractor-trailer rolled over on Interstate 84.

A crash caused problems on Interstate 84 West in West Hartford later in the morning.

Connecticut managed to escape the worst of the storm.
