Star Wars In Concert Brings “The Force” to Mohegan Sun

Grab your light saber, your favorite Wookiee and "may the force be with you" when you head to Mohegan Sun this week.

The casino is welcoming Star Wars: In Concert on Thursday, July 22 at 7:30 p.m.  The live event features music from all six of John Williams' epic Star Wars scores.

The show features live narration by Anthony Daniels, the actor who played C-3PO in all six films, a full symphony orchestra and choir and specially edited footage from the films on a huge, three-story-tall, high-def LED super-screen.  "We've taken the key themes from the music and cut together all the images that fit with each theme, so you can really get a sense of how the music played into the images," Star Wars creator George Lucas said.

Your inner Star Wars geek can also enjoy an exclusive exhibit of costumes, props, production artwork and special behind-the-scenes videos from Lucasfilm Archives.

Tickets are between $45.00 and $85.00 through the Mohegan Sun Box Office or through Ticketmaster.

And even if you are a little short for a stormtrooper and you can't catch the show, you might just run into a Princess Leia, Darth Maul or Luke Skywalker.  Guests are encouraged to dress up in their favorite costumes.  Face paint is allowed in the common areas but not on the gaming floor.
