University of Connecticut women’s basketball head coach Geno Auriemma is a semifinalist for the 2018 Werner Ladder Naismith Women’s College Coach of the Year award.
The award recognizes outstanding women’s college coaches for their performance.
Auriemma joins a list of 10 semifinalists in the running. Four finalists will be announced on March 14. Fans can then support their coach by voting anytime from March 19 – 30. Voting will be available here.
“This has been a remarkable college basketball season thus far, and these 10 semifinalists have proven themselves worthy of being considered for the Werner Ladder Naismith Women’s College Coach of the Year,” said Eric Oberman, executive director of the Atlanta Tipoff Club.
Auriemma is already an eight-time Naismith National Coach of the Year.
