Auriemma Proposes Doty-McEntee Trick-Shot Match

Your move, Johnny McEntee.

Yesterday, ESPN's YouTube channel, SportsNationESPN, posted "What's Geno Watching?" hosted by Michelle Beadle. The premise is simple enough: UConn basketball coach Geno Auriemma is shown a video (obscured from the viewer), has a visceral reaction ("No way! That's some dope doin' that!"), which prompts Beadle to ask the audience: "Was that dope A) Maya Moore scoring her 3,000th point, B) UConn QB Trick Shot, or also running with the theme, C) Kemba Hugging Calhoun?"

For those of you who didn't watch the video above, we'll spare you the suspense: the answer is B) UConn QB Trick Shot. But it's not that Geno wasn't impressed by McEntee, it's just that he thinks the original trick-shot artist is Caroline Doty.

"See made it so popular then somebody else had to do it, which is some guy at UConn who's on the football team, who proved he can throw a football through basketball hoops and other places," Auriemma explained. "We're going to have a contest to see who can shoot the ball better and who can throw a football better, and I'm going to put Caroline against Johnny any day -- bring the cameras."

In the immortal words of George Costanza: It's go time.
