Thousands of people headed into Hartford on Sunday to see Kemba Walker and the rest of the team that grabbed the national championship, but a meeting with just one person the day before is one Walker is likely to remember forever.
Magic Johnson was town to meet Walker, the Hartford Courant reports. Walker has declared for the NBA draft.
Johnson was a part owner of the Los Angeles Lakers, but sold his 5 percent ownership in the fall and wants to run a team, similar to how Michael Jordan does in Charlotte.
Coach Jim Calhoun told the Courant that Walker has hired an agent but knew nothing about the meeting with Magic.
