But so far, Fey's Liz Lemon and Baldwin's Jack Donaghy have kept things platonic. According to Fey, this will change when the show's reign of laughter ends. On Thursday night, she stopped in for a chat with Andy Cohen on his Bravo program "Watch What Happens: Live." A viewer asked when Liz and Jack will get together in the biblical sense.
"I had the same question," Cohen added. "I think they are so Sam and Diane [from 'Cheers']."
"We've sort of pledged that they will never do that," Fey said. However, every rule has an exception.
"But then the moment we're canceled -- full tilt porn movie region," she promised jokingly.
Fey was on the program largely to promote "30 Rock's" live show airing October 14.
"It's live, we're going to do it here in New York out of Studio 8H where usually 'Saturday Night Live' is…we're going to do it at 8: 30 for the east coast and then again at 11: 30 (for the west coast)," Fey said.
This presents more than one logistical problem.
"I have to keep all those people (on the cast) awake and sober from 8:30 to 11:30."
As for the plot for the live show, Fey says nothing has been finalized. "(The script) is done but we're going to keep re-writing it until the last minute, I'm sure."
