Caitlin Burchill

Caitlin Burchill is a reporter for NBC Connecticut. 

A Massachusetts native, Caitlin is no stranger to Connecticut, and is excited to be back working in New England. 

Prior to joining NBC Connecticut, Caitlin was a reporter and fill-in anchor at KSL in Salt Lake City, Utah where she covered everything from wildfires to the Utah Jazz 2018 playoff run. 

Caitlin was the first Utah television reporter in Las Vegas to cover the tragic Route 91 Harvest Country Music Festival massacre in 2017. For her coverage, she won first place Utah SPJ’s Multimedia Journalist Award. While in UT, she was also nominated for a Rocky Mountain Region Emmy Award. 

Caitlin began her career in journalism as an intern at New England Cable News where she helped the station cover Whitey Bulger’s arrest and the Boston Bruin’s 2011 Stanley Cup victory. She was eventually hired as an assignment editor and associate producer Her on-air career began at WABI in Bangor, Maine where she worked as a reporter and anchor. 

A graduate of Colby College, Caitlin double majored in American Studies and Women’s Gender, and Sexuality Studies. She was also the captain of the volleyball team and received the Pamela Hoyt-Sanborn Award for inspirational leadership and sportsmanship during her tenure at Colby. 

Caitlin is an avid supporter of New England pro sports teams, and in her free time when she is not working out, Caitlin enjoys relaxing and reading on the beach.
