You’ve heard of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but Giving Tuesday is all about helping others in need. It’s the day people are encouraged to give back to their community.
On Tuesday, November 28, United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut is hoping you’ll support their "Neighbors in Need" fund. They will be set up at the Old State House in Hartford from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. raising money for Neighbors in Need. Neighbors In Need is a fund that will be used to help children and families who have relocated from hurricane-affected areas and others needing basic human services. One hundred percent of funds collected will be awarded to qualified organizations.
