NBC Connecticut is proud to connect you to the American Red Cross’ Install-A-Thon. You can register to have free smoke alarms installed and a safety assessment of your home if you live in the targeted cities. The Connecticut American Red Cross is partnering with communities across the state to install 1,200 free smoke alarms on March 6-10 in these cities:
• Torrington (March 6)
• Norwalk (March 7)
• New Britain (March 8)
• New London (March 10)
Red Cross workers, local municipalities, fire departments and community volunteers will visit homes across the state to share fire safety and preparedness information, as well as install free smoke alarms in homes.
