International Festival of Arts and Ideas Returns to New Haven in June

NBC Connecticut is connecting you to the 2017 International Festival of Arts & Ideas, a thrilling 3-week experience from June 3-24 in various theaters and open spaces in New Haven.  There are 200 events including 4 festival-commissioned world premieres, entirely new programs and collaborations, the first ever Reggae headline concert on the KeyBank stage, and dozens of other big ideas and experiences.
On Saturday, June 17, come to the New Haven Green from 12pm-4pm and meet the NBC Connecticut team! We’ll have some fun NBC Connecticut swag, so come say hello!
The festival was founded in 1996 by Anne Calabresi, Jean Handley and Roslyn Meyer whose mission was to create an internationally renowned festival in New Haven of the highest quality with world-class artists, thinkers, and leaders, attracting and engaging a broad and diverse audience celebrating and building community and advancing economic development. 
Festival 2017 also boasts a diverse group of participants from all over the globe, as well as leading artists and innovators from New Haven and across the state of Connecticut.
