5 Ways to Celebrate Dad this Father's Day

Father's Day is quickly approaching! If you're still not sure how to celebrate Dad, here are a few ways to spend the day in Connecticut.

Father’s Day Open Cockpit at New England Air Museum: Windsor Locks  – Let your dad soar through time while climbing aboard cockpits of historic airplanes and helicopters. The museum will hold this event on Sunday, June 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Dads get in free at The Dinosaur Place at Nature’s Art Village: Montville – Roam through trails of the 60-acre Dinosaur-Filled Outdoor Adventure Park with Dad this Father’s Day. With the purchase of child’s admission, dads are free on June 17 between 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Father’s Day Behind the Scenes Tour at the Connecticut Trolley Museum: East Windsor – Give Dad and Grandpa the opportunity to tour grounds of the Connecticut Trolley Museum that are usually closed off to visitors, climb aboard some of the trolley’s, and take a ride in one of the Trolley cars. On June 17 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Dads and Grandpas receive free admission with the purchase of adult or child admission.

Father’s Day Jazz Brunch at Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art: Hartford – Give Dad a father’s day to remember with music and brunch. Choose from a variety of meals while listening to the Orice Jenkins Trio. After, take a guided tour through the galleries, or view them on your own. Tickets are $38 and include museum admission, jazz and brunch. Two seatings are available, 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. 

Father’s Day Brunch Cruise on Lady Katharine Cruises: Haddam – Set sail on Father’s Day as Lady Katherine Cruises departs from Eagle Landing State Park in Haddam. Gather the family to celebrate Dad and view the scenic Connecticut River cruise while enjoying a buffet.
