Arnold Schwarzenegger Slams Last “Terminator” Film

The former California governor said the latest "Terminator" film "missed the boat."

Former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is back in Hollywood, and he’s making quite an entrance.

In an interview with Collider, Schwarzenegger slammed the latest “Terminator” installment, calling it “awful.”

“It tried hard, not that they didn’t try, the acting and everything,” Schwarzenegger said. “It missed the boat.”

The 2009 “Terminator Salvation” was the only film in the “Terminator” franchise that didn't star the 63-year-old.

But the actor said he is open to starring in sequels to his previous blockbuster films. He was particularly keen on doing a follow-up to the 1988 comedy “Twins,” which co-starred Danny DeVito. A jesting Schwarzenegger said he and DeVito would reprise their roles, alongside a new recruit for what would be called “Triplets.”

“I’d find somebody like Eddie Murphy or someone that people would say, ‘How does that happen, medically speaking?’ and, ‘Physically, there’s no way,’” he said.

Schwarzenegger has recently wrapped up filming “The Expendables 2,” which hits theatres in August. The film features a cast of heavy hitters such as Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Jason Stratham, Dolph Lundgren, Jet Li and Jean-Claude van Damme.
