Tidbits: Joe Jackson Now Says Wife Didn't Kill Michael

In an interview with News of the World, Joe Jackson revealed he refused to comfort his grieving wife after the death of their superstar son, Michael Jackson, because he blamed her for their loss. However, just one day after his words went public, the Jackson family patriarch changed his tune.

“Katherine was weeping uncontrollably and highly upset,” Jackson recalled during the now-infamous interview. “But I didn't give her a hug because I was mad at her crying. I said, 'If you had listened to me, Michael would be living now!' I kept thinking about the times I had stood in front of her saying something was wrong. I couldn't bottle up my feelings. Katherine didn't say a word — I had to get away from her. If she'd done what I asked, Michael would be here today. I am incensed with her. She could have made a difference.”

But Michael Jackson’s father is no longer playing the blame game. Maybe it was the backlash from the King of Pop’s fans, or perhaps it was the thinly veiled warning from Katherine Jackson’s lawyer, but either way, tough-talking Joe now retracts the sentiment he shared.

“Katherine didn’t kill my son,” the 80-year-old told PopEater. “She isn’t at fault.”

Sure, Jackson kept his statement brief this time, but considering what he said when he allowed himself to speak at length with the British tabloid, a short and sweet non-apology may have been his best bet.

Coleman’s ex-girlfriend says she’s no fame seeker
Though a judge has a yet to determine which of Gary Coleman’s wills is the real deal, the woman named in the latest document to enter the fray insists she’s not looking for fame.

The late actor’s ex-girlfriend Anna Gray, who was named both executor and sole beneficiary in a 2005 will, may have to battle with Coleman’s ex-wife to see that the star’s alleged last wishes are honored, but she’d rather do so quietly if she can.

“I am a very private person, and I’m not a fame seeker at all,” Gray told Radar Online.

Though Gray claims to have been “incredibly close” with Coleman, she hopes to mostly avoid the media focus surrounding his death — unlike the actor’s ex-wife.

“Shannon Price’s antics are feeding it,” Gray said.

Dish on the fly
The last time she cozied up for a photograph alongside teen-dream Justin Bieber, Kim Kardashian learned just how serious Biebermania could get when she received a rash of death threats. Well, apparently the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star knows no fear, as she just upped the ante by posing for a series of beachside shots with Bieber. “Photoshoot on the beach....ummmm yeah. I told her to watch out,” the singer joked in tweet before adding, “I love my fans.” Kardashian followed Bieber’s lead and tempted fate even further by posting a photo of herself mussing the teen’s legendary locks. Here’s hoping Kardashian hired extra security. … Brad Pitt fans longing for a glimpse of the sexy man lurking somewhere behind that billy-goat beard he’s sported for the last year just got lucky. Paparazzi shots provided by X17Online reveal the actor has returned to his fine form and now only sports the shortest of well-groomed goatees.
