Travolta Family Coping With Jett's Death: ‘Every Day It Gets Better'

Jett Travolta's sudden death on January 2 has left his family struggling to cope with the heartbreaking loss. John Travolta, Kelly Preston and daughter Ella Bleu have kept a low profile since Jett's death over six weeks ago.

"[The family is] regrouping and pushing through the grieving process," a source told People. "They are trying to grieve and return to some sort of normalcy for Ella."

Adding, "But life isn't normal without Jett."

The family's grieving has been marred by an ongoing Bahamas criminal case, which alleges that an elected official and an emergency services worker attempted to extort $25 million from the family following Jett's death.

"They were so hurt by the moochers," the source said. "But things have calmed down. Every day it gets better."

Jett Travolta succumbed to a "seizure disorder" while on vacation with his family in Grand Bahama, according to his death certificate. He was laid to rest following a service in Ocala, Fla., on January 8.
