‘How I Met Your Mother' Cast Given Raise

The cast of CBS’s hit comedy “How I Met Your Mother” is starting the new year off with something to celebrate – a raise.

The “Mother” ensemble, which includes Josh Radnor, Jason Segel, Cobie Smulders, Neil Patrick Harris and Alyson Hannigan, have renegotiated deals that will bump their salaries up to $90,000-$120,000 per episode, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Though these new salaries will double or triple what each made previously, the new deal is lower than expected, said the entertainment trade mag. The cast members’ new salaries still lag behind other ensemble comedies like NBC’s “The Office.”

The CBS comedy has enjoyed a steady climb in the ratings since the end of the writers strike last spring and also attracted new viewers with the two-time appearance of Britney Spears.

“Mother star Neil Patrick Harris will host “Saturday Night Live” this weekend, with musical guest Taylor Swift.
