Employing a mockumentary filming style (think Christopher Guest's "Best in Show" and "Waiting for Guffman"), this comedy series features a stellar ensemble cast that includes Rashida Jones, Aziz Ansari, Nick Offerman, Aubrey Plaza, Paul Schneider, Chris Pratt, Retta, Adam Scott, Rob Lowe and Jim O'Heir.

How long do I need? Five nights of cold weather. (10 episodes)

What's it about? This FX mini-series is inspired by the Coen Brothers' classic of the same name, but aside from the setting and the accents, it bears little in common with the 1996 film. "THE COMEBACK" (2005)

How long do I need? One hysterical night. (13 episodes)

"THE WEST WING" (1999)

How long do I need? Persevere and you'll be done by election day. (154 episodes)

What's it about? This hit NBC series from Aaron Sorkin goes inside the titular White House location during President Josiah "Jed" Bartlet's time in office and focuses on the lives of his key administration. Former White House staffers featured in a season three documentary describe the show as capturing the feel of the real West Wing, though the show was often criticized for being overly optimistic. Earning 26 Emmys, "The West Wing" introduced viewers to the walk-and-talk: long Steadicam tracking shots showing characters walking down hallways while involved in lengthy conversation, and featured a cast of regular players and guest stars that includes Martin Sheen, (Bartlet), Stockard Channing, Allison Janney, Richard Schiff, Moira Kelly, Rob Lowe, Alan Alda, Lily Tomlin, Elisabeth Moss, Kristen Chenowith, Dule Hill, Janel Moloney, Amy Adams, John Goodman, Jesse Eisenberg, Jimmy Smits, Bradley Whitford, John Spencer, Matthew Perry and Glenn Close.
