Bill Murray Set to Voice Baloo in Disney's “The Jungle Book”

The adaptation isn't expected to hit theaters until October 9, 2015

We always knew Bill Murray was one giant Teddy Bear.

Disney has announced the Oscar-nominated actor will lend his voice to the beloved bear, Baloo, in the upcoming adaption of The Jungle Book.

For those who don't remember, Baloo is the incredibly laid back, ticklish bear who befriends Mowgli, a young child raised by wolves in the jungle.

Baloo also delivers the memorable song, "The Bare Necessities," which just so happens to be a Disney favorite amongst Tom Hiddleston. Yes, there's video to prove it.

Murray joins an already star-studded cast that includes Scarlett Johansson, Lupita Nyong'o, Ben Kingsley and Idris Elba.

Just last week, Disney also announced Christopher Walken and Breaking Bad's Giancarlo Esposito would be joining the film as the voices of ape ruler King Louie and wolf leader Akela, respectively.

The adaption, which will be a combination of live-action footage and animation, isn't expected to hit theatres until Oct. 9, 2015.
