Check out our Golden Globes predictions for Lincoln and more nominees

Steven Spielberg confirmed back at Comic-Con in 2011 that the fourth film in his dinosaur saga, based originally on the Michael Chrichton bestseller, was a go--but, at the time, War Horse was still in postproduction and a little historical epic called Lincoln and an adaptation of Daniel H. Wilson's Robopocalypse were ahead of Jurassic Park 4 in the pipeline.

Well, Lincoln got made, and has 12 Oscar nominations to show for it, but Spielberg and DreamWorks just pulled the plug on Robopocalypse, saying that the project had become infeasible due to script and budget concerns.

So, that paves the way for production to pick up on Jurassic Park 4. As tends to be the case when Spielberg is pulling the strings, it promises to be epic.
