Actor Morgan Freeman apologized again on Friday after he was accused of harassment and inappropriate behavior by eight women, NBC News reported.
"I did not create unsafe work environments," the actor said in a statement. "I did not assault women. I did not offer employment or advancement in exchange for sex. Any suggestion that I did so is completely false."
The statement also suggested that the allegations, made public on Thursday, have caused emotional pain. The report, by CNN, described "a pattern of inappropriate behavior by Freeman on set, while promoting his movies and at his production company Revelations Entertainment."
In a statement Thursday, Freeman also apologized "to anyone who felt uncomfortable or disrespected — that was never my intent."
