‘Titanic' Is Getting Its Own Theme Park

Brace yourselves, "Titanic" fans, because there's a good chance you haven't been this excited about something since the 100th anniversary theatrical re-release.

The movie that everybody knows and loves is now getting is very own theme park. The Al Ahli Holding Group announced they have partnered with Twentieth Century Fox to open the movie-inspired theme park.

That's right, you'll now be able to romp through a land entirely dedicated to the world's most lovable steerage passenger.

Here's a few things to know:

First, the theme park is going to be in Dubai. The second catch is that the Titanic-themed attractions will share space with rides based on other Fox entities like "Planet of the Apes" and "Sons of Anarchy."

The park is scheduled to open in 2018 and is projected to cost as much as $850 million. The creators of the project are keeping mum on what exactly the "Titanic-land" will look like, but they did tell Variety that it will feature "an immersive experience that includes motion theater simulators and will allow you to experience what it was like to be on the Titanic in an exciting way."
