“Jersey Shore” Cast Signs for Season Two

Get ready for more of "The Situation."

The kids from the "Jersey Shore" have signed on for a second season, MTV network's president of programming Tony DiSanto said Friday.

All seven of the housemates -- including fan favorites Paul "DJ Pauly D" DelVecchio, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Michael "The Situation" Sorrentino, and Jenni "JWoww" Farley" -- have signed on for the second season, according to DiSanto.

A New York Post report earlier this week claimed the cast banded together -- as the "Friends" cast did toward the end of the show's run -- and requested $10,000 per episode for the second "Jersey Shore" season.

MTV didn't confirm any deals or disclose the financial terms of any proposed agreement as of Friday.

The show, which followed the cast through a month-long go-round on New Jersey's famous beachside getaway as they fought, flirted and laughed with one another, was a breakout hit for MTV.

The next season of the "Shore" will follow the twenty-somethings to a new vacation spot, DiSanto said. The 12 new episodes will air this summer.

The six castmates have since used their "Jersey Shore" fame to make a profit -- the stars have made appearances on prime-time and late-night TV and are currently charging fees for club appearances and meet-and-greets nationwide.

Both "Snooki" and "The Situation" appeared on Conan O'Brien's "Tonight Show," where "The Situation" gave O'Brien a new nickname -- "The Solution."
