2018 Connecticut Firework Displays



    Thousands Turn Out for Fireworks in West Haven

    The city is in the middle of a budget crisis and this year spectators had to pay to park for the Savin Rock fireworks to help pay overtime costs.

    Here is a list of some of Connecticut's firework displays to celebrate events from Independence Day, summer, and other hometown traditions.

    Wednesday, June 27

    Coventry: Dusk. Conventryfest at Coventry Lake at Patriots Park. Rain date June 28.

    Friday, June 29

    Hamden: 9:20 p.m. Volunteer Firefighter's Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks Display. Rain date June 30.

    Killingly: 9:15 p.m. Red White & Blue BBQ at Owen Bell Park. Rain date July 6.

    New London: 8:00 p.m. Fireworks & Beatles Tribute Band at Ocean Beach Park.

    Simsbury: 7:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Celebrate America! The Annual Red, White and Blue Tradition. Fireworks follow the concert. Rain date June 30. 

    Windsor Locks: 9:30 p.m. Annual Fireworks Display. Rain date June 30 at 9:30 p.m.

    Saturday, June 30

    Bristol: Dusk. Independence Day Fireworks at Lake Compounce.

    Coventry: Approximately 9:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. CoventryFest Spectacular Firework Display at Patriots Park. Rain date July 1.

    East Haven: 9:00 p.m. 18th Annual Fireworks/ Beach Party Celebration. Rain date July 2.

    Hebron: 2 p.m. - 11 p.m. Activities include a car show, vendors, live music and end the day with fireworks at the Hebron Lions Fairgrounds.

    Lakeville: 9 p.m. Salisbury Rotary Club's Independence Day Fireworks at Lime Rock Park. Rain date July 1. 

    Milford: 9:15 p.m. Milford's Kick-Off To Summer Fireworks at Milford harbor at Lisman Landing. Rain date July 7.

    Sunday, July 1

    Bridgeport: 9:00 p.m. Barnumpalooza Fireworks at Seaside Park 

    Norwich (rescheduled from Friday): 5-10 p.m. at Howard Brown Park

    Orange: 9:30 p.m.Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular with patriotic music. Rain date July 2.

    Putnam: 9:15 p.m. Independence Day Fireworks. Rain date July 8.

    Waterbury: 11 a.m. - 1- p.m. Firework & Food Truck Fest at Brass Mill Center

    Monday, July 2

    Fairfield: Just after dark (around 9:15 p.m.) Independence Day Fireworks Show. Rain date July 3. Can be seen from either Penfield or Jennings Beach. 

    Westport: Tickets are on sale and are $35 per car. Rain date July 3. 

    Tuesday, July 3

    Madison: 9:30 p.m. Madison Fireworks at the waterfront area off West Wharf Beach. Rain date July 6.  

    Naugatuck: 9:15 p.m. Fireworks Celebration on Old Firehouse Road. Rain date July 6. 

    Norwalk: (postponed until July 5 because of the possibility of storms) Fireworks start at sundown. Fireworks and Entertainment starting at 5:30 p.m. Rain date July 5.

    Stratford: 9:30 p.m. Stratford Fireworks at Short Beach Park. 

    West Haven: Dusk. Savin Rock Fireworks Spectacular at Bradley Point Park. Rain date July 5.

    Middletown: Dusk. Fireworks Festival at Middletown Community Park. Festival begins at 5 p.m. with fireworks starting at dusk. Rain date July 8.   

    New Milford: 9:30 p.m. New Milford Fireworks Celebration at the Town Green. Festivities start at 5 p.m. with fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Rain date July 27.
