Here’s a quick riddle: What do sword swallowers, bartenders, and Barnum’s Belting Beauties all have in common?
Give up? The answer is that they’ll all be at the Barnum Pub Festival in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
Beginning this Friday, June 20 at 5:30 p.m., Barnum’s Pub Festival looks to celebrate and showcase Bridgeport’s vibrant downtown area.
Festival-goers will have access to seven separate venues downtown, with each of the stops offering free food and reduced price drinks. Circus-themed performers will also be present throughout the area.
Certain participating bars will even be offering a “Ringmaster Red” themed beverage, also at a discounted price.
The evening will begin at the Barnum Publick House, where patrons will be given a map and passports to help them navigate through participating businesses.
At the end of the evening, the festival culminates into an after party at The Bijou Theatre, where Barnum’s Belting Beauties will be performing.
“The Bijou Theatre is honored to partner with the Barnum Festival as a destination for festival events and venue for ticket promotion,” said Bijou Theatre Director Kathy Reynolds, in a statement. “The Belting Beauties musical trio has crafted a special set list for the night of the Barnum Pub Fest.”
