The state's 14th annual Connecticut Open House Day is Saturday, June 9 and over 240 tourist destinations in Connecticut will offer special discounts and promotions.
“Connecticut has an incredible array of museum, galleries, theaters, vineyards, shops, restaurants, historic properties, and other locations that make our state so unique, Governor Malloy said in a statement. "We are proud to showcase all of them during this special event on Saturday."
This one-day event is put on by the Connecticut Office of Tourism and is designed to showcase Connecticut's history, art, culture and entertainment.
More than 85 attractions are offering free admission, free tours are given at over 25 properties and more than 100 businesses you'll find special offers and giveaways.
“Residents and visitors alike are encouraged to take advantage of the special deals and discounts that businesses will offer throughout the day. It’s the perfect opportunity to explore a destination you may have never visited before," Governor Malloy said in a statement.
