Austin Baker Makes a Willie Nelson Cake and Steals the Show

An Austin baker who doesn't even have a retail store yet took the Internet by storm after creating a "Willie Nelson" cake.

Natalie Sideserf has always had a love for baking but it wasn't until her friends and family urged her to enter a baking contest in Austin that she realized she could turn her passion into a career.

Unsure of what kind of cake to enter in the contest, Natalie finally decided to create this bust of the Red Headed Stranger and set to work crafting this likeness of Texas' favorite son.

Her entry won, in fact she swept all divisions in the contest, and when her brother posted the pic on Reddit that same day, it immediately reached No. 1 on the site and was seen by over 1.2 million people worldwide.

Sideserf combined her passion and creativity and began baking professionally earlier this year in rented kitchens around Austin and will open her first brick and mortar store there later this year.

As if opening a business isn't enough stress, Natalie is getting married next week at Austin's Alamo Drafthouse and is baking the wedding cake for the ceremony. Of course it's no traditional wedding cake; her fiancé is a big horror movie fan so she is baking a horror themed wedding cake.

You can see more of Natalie's creations on her website including the cakes she made recently for Keith Urban and the American Idol judges while they were in Austin filming American Idol.
