Diane Keaton, Michael Douglas Film at Lake Compounce

Visitor to Lake Compounce in Bristol on Monday might have caught a glimpse of film crews, and maybe even Diane Keaton and Michael Douglas.

They star in Rob Reiner’s film “And So It Goes,” which is in production and filmed scenes at the local amusement park.

"When we were approached by Castle Rock Entertainment, we were excited to be a part of the film making process, and are looking forward to bringing a little bit of Hollywood to Bristol,”  Sara Frias, marketing director for Lake Compounce, said.

The movie is about a self-absorbed real estate agent, played by Douglas, who finds himself  in charge of caring for the granddaughter he never knew he had, according to IMDB, and reaches out to his neighbor -- Keaton -- to help.

Filming began around 10 a.m. and continued until 4 p.m. and took place at the Wave Swinger and Twister.  Douglas and Keaton only filmed for a short time in the morning.

Guests were allowed to ride the attractions during filming and might be included as background in the movie.

Other cast members include Sterling Jerins, who plays a young Lily Bowers in Deception, according to IMDB, Frankie Valli, Frances Sternhagen

Note: The filming was originally supposed to happen on June 28.
