Fairs and festivals are a fall favorite in Connecticut. Whether you're there for the rides, animals, entertainment or the food, we have the list of some of the must see events coming to Connecticut.
August 3-5: Potato and Corn Festival in North Branford is always held on the first weekend of August. The 2018 PoCo Fest will celebrate its 17th year as a FREE, fun-filled family event. It involved food, carnival rides, entertainment, and more.
August 10-12: Lebanon Country Fair has been providing fun for 58 years. It's a weekend full of entertainment, competitions, Monster trucks and animals. Adults Friday $10, Saturday & Sunday $11, Children (under 12) FREE, Senior Citizens (60+) $9 Military with proper ID FREE
August 11-12: Mystic Outdoor Art Festival showcases more than 230 artists from around the United State and offers more than two miles of arts and crafts. It's FREE of charge and features activities and artwork for all ages to enjoy.
August 17-19: Bridgewater Country Fair - Start the weekend with the Annual Bridgewater Fair Parade starting at 6:45 p.m. The fair has a large variety of food tents, contests and vendors. General admission $8 Seniors (60+) $6 Children (12 and under) FREE, 3-Day pass $16
August 17-19: Hartford County 4-H Fair in Somers offers shows and exhibits, livestock shows and sale, 5K race, antique tractor pull, open horse show and much more.
August 17-19: Hamburg Fair in Lyme offers carnival rides, food, pony rides and exhibits from farm, animal, craft, fruits, and more. General admission $7, Kids up to 12 Years FREE, Active Service Men and Woman (ID required) $5, Seniors $5
August 17-19: Wolcott Country Fair - You’ll find carnival rides, commercial vendors, entertainment, contests and more at the Wolcott Country Fair. $6 on Saturday and Sunday before 4:00 p.m., $8 Friday, Saturday and Sunday after 4:00 p.m., Seniors (62+) $6, 3-day pass $19, Children (10 and under) FREE
August 18: Milford Oyster Festival 2018 offers about 40,000 oysters with 21 varieties from eight states on the East Coast. Events will be happening all over the festival grounds, all day long. The festival kicks off at 10:00 a.m.
August 23-26: Brooklyn Fair features dog shows, agility dog demonstrations, Little Miss/Mr. Brooklyn Fair Pageant, racing pigs and more! Adults $10, Senior (65+) $8, Military (with ID) $8, Children (12 & under) FREE
August 24 - 26: Chester Fair Admission $8, Children (12 & under) FREE, Senior $6, 3-day pass $21
August 24-26: Plainville Hot Air Balloon Festival - Admire hot air balloons high in the sky during this festival. Some balloonists will even offer rides on Friday night.
August 24-26: Terryville Lions Club Fair Friday: General admission $8, Seniors and Active Military/ Veterans $6, Children (10 and under) FREE, Saturday & Sunday: General admission $9, Seniors and Active Military/ Veterans $7, Children (10 and under) FREE
August 31 - September 3: Haddam Neck Fair General admission $10, Military/ Senior Citizen Admission $9, Weekend pass $25, Military/Senior Citizen Weekend Pass $22, Kids under 12 are FREE
August 31 - September 3: Woodstock Fair always takes place on on Labor Day weekend and offers karaoke contests, horse shows, pizza eating contests, rides and more. General admission ticket $12, Seniors (65+) $8, Active Military with ID $8, Children (10 & under) FREE
September 1-2: New England Food Truck Festival at Mohegan Sun provides dozens of food trucks, live music, entertainment, face painting, games and much more. Single day admission $5 online, $8 Day of the Event, 2-day admission 48 online only, Kids (6 and under) FREE
September 1-3: Goshen Fair is happening for its 106th year, bringing in Professional Monster Trucks, Dan's Roadhouse Country Band, fireworks and more. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for senior citizens on Saturday only, Children (under 12) are FREE.
September 6-9: Hebron Harvest Fair will have country music duo LOCASH performing on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. Thursday is Dollar Night! All admission is just $1. Friday through Sunday general admission is $13. On Friday, seniors (65+) are FREE before 4:00 p.m. $13 after 4:00 p.m. Active Military Members (with ID) are FREE, military family members and Veterans (with ID) receive a $2 discount.
September 6-9: North Haven Fair will have horse drawing contests, live performers, wrestling, a petting zoo, and more for the family to enjoy. Thursday general admission is $5, Friday, Saturday and Sunday adults $10, Children (under 12) FREE, Senior Sunday: Sunday general admission is $5 for those 65+
September 6-9: Wapping Fair will have live music, animal judging, entertainment, food, special attractions and more. Adults $8, Seniors (65+) $4, Military Discount (with valid ID) $4, Kids 57 inches and over $8, Kids under 57 inches are FREE.
September 7-9 Bethlehem Fair Adult entry $9, Children (under 12) FREE, Seniors (65+) $7 Saturday and Sunday only, 3-day pass $18

September 8: 2018 Annual Jig-n-Pig BBQ Music Festival in Meriden includes various genres from two different bands and musical artists with a BBQ from Pig Rig BBQ!
September 13-16: Four Town Fair in Somers has antique and classic car shows, live performances from local musicians, animals, rides, vendors and more! General Admission Thursday: $6, Friday-Sunday: $10, Weekend pass $25. Thursday and Friday Senior Citizens $5, Kids (12 & under) FREE
September 14-16: Berlin Fair has started in 1949 and the Berlin Lions Club has put on this fair that's become the main event in the town ever since. Adults $12, Seniors (62+) $9, Children (11 and under) FREE
September 15-16: Orange Country Fair will have musical entertainment, animals, a toddler driving contest, pig races, and a famous pancake breakfast. Friday Only FREE admission, Saturday and Sunday Adults $8, Senior Citizens $5, Children (14 and under) FREE, Active Military (with ID) $5
September 23: 53 Annual Seymour Pumpkin Festival has become a tradition as a day the community comes together to enjoy a variety of home-made craft vendors, food, music, entertainment, carnival games, rides and more.
September 27-30: Durham Fair will have performances from Melissa Etheridge on September 28, and Scotty McCreery on September 29. Main Stage events are free with a paid fair ticket. Thursday: Admission $9, Children 11 and under, Active Military (With ID), and Attendees in Wheelchairs all FREE. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday admission: Adults $14, Children 11 and under, Active Military (with ID), and Attendees in Wheelchairs all FREE, Seniors (62+) $10
September 29: 37 Annual Harvest Festival in Guilford will take place between the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. rain or shine.
October 5-7: Harwinton Fair will have pig races, performances, rides, games, food and much more. Fair Friday admission: Adults $6, Children (12 and under) Free Saturday and Sunday admission: Adults $8, Children (12 and under) FREE
October 5-7: Portland Fair offers chainsaw carving demonstrations, a petting zoo, rides, games, and much more entertainment. Adults $10, Seniors (65+) $8, Active/Reserve Military (with valid ID) FREE
October 6-7: Garlic & Harvest Festival at the Bethlehem Fairgrounds will provide everything garlic. From cooking demonstrations, live band performances, to a wide variety of garlic specialty food vendors. Adults $8, Seniors $7, Children under 12 $1.
October 12-14: Riverton Fair is hosting their 109th Annual fair offering exhibits, animals, vendors, food, midway rides, music and more. Admission adults $6, Children (12 and under) FREE
October 18-21: Mystic Film Festival is an annual event showcasing independent feature length and short form narrative films and documentaries. Screenings will be held at Mystic Luxury Cinemas and the Mystic Noank Public Library.
