Tour Governor's Mansion for the Holidays

The governor's official residence in Hartford will be open to the public during the holiday season.

Democratic Gov. Dannel P. Malloy and his wife Cathy say this year's annual holiday open house will run from Dec. 2 through Dec. 4. The Georgian Revival style home at 990 Prospect Ave. will be decorated for the holidays. There will also be live entertainment.

Besides an opportunity to share his family's personal collection of Christmas decorations, Malloy says a number of Connecticut growers and small businesses have donated seasonal agricultural decorations.

Free tours will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 2 and 3, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Dec. 4. While tickets are not needed, donations to Operation ELF, which assists Connecticut military families, will be accepted.
