The historic Silas W. Robbins House, a Bed & Breakfast inn at 185 Broad Street in Wethersfield, sold in June 2018. Its new owners continue to run it as a five-bedroom Bed & Breakfast.
Under the new owners, a Hallmark movie, "Christmas on Honeysuckle Lane," starring Alicia Witt filmed at the house. The movie debuts on Nov. 24.
The buyers, Olga Cherkasova and her husband Dmitriy Gorbunov, love Victorian architecture and always wanted to try their hand at a B&B, according to real estate agency Douglas Elliman. The previous owners have been supportive of the new owners and helped them transition towards continuing a successful B&B.
The Victorian mansion was built in 1873, but went through a six-year restoration project in 2001. It has 7,500 square feet consisting of seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, and 3 powder rooms on a one-acre lot.
