Winter is wrapped up for now, but there’s more fun to this mountain than just snow. Powder Ridge Mountain Park & Resort in Middlefield is hosting a slew of summer fun adventures for everyone from the bold and daring to the romantic and cultured.
Feeling like an adrenaline rush? Try zip lining down the mountain on a 1,400 feet zip line or biking top to bottom on a professional built bike course. Or are you missing winter and just have that itch to ski? Powder Ridge’s “365 Synthetic Snow Park,” will let you ski, board or tube down the mountain in the summer heat.

After a long day of adventuring around the park, perhaps with your special someone or family, sit back and relax with a mountaintop summer picnic. The picnic includes a chef-prepared basket with a chairlift ride to your own personal picnic area. Work all that delicious food off with a hike back down the beautiful mountain, and take in all the picturesque sites Connecticut’s favorite mountain has to offer.
But summer isn’t complete without a beer and music festival! On July 28th, The Powder Ridge Festival with Beer & Music is hosting beer samplings from 30+ local breweries along with numerous delicious food trucks. Enjoy an afternoon of Keg tossing and live music, including a Led Zeppelin Cover Band.
Let’s not forget the Sunday Market, featuring local fresh vegetables, flowers, arts, crafts and so much more!
Powder Ridge is packed with summer fun for anyone. So pack up the car and head out on a mountainous adventure, today!
