New Industrial Jobs Coming to Connecticut

The NBC Connecticut Troubleshooters have uncovered plans for dozens of new industrial jobs coming to Connecticut.

The town of Windsor will get 40 new industrial jobs and a long-vacant former Pepsi plant will be occupied once more if the plan by Telling Industries comes together. The company has been looking to come here for some time.

Windsor officials said Pepsi left the Kennedy Road property two decades ago, and town records indicate Telling Industries of Ohio has bought the land.

The possibility of this deal going through was first mentioned at a Connecticut Airport Authority meeting last month. The authority’s draft minutes say Telling Industries plans to add 40 new, full-time positions over the next two years.

Telling Industries makes metal framing and accessories and has several other locations across the country, according to its website.

The company had originally planned to locate a site in Waterbury. That announcement was made earlier this year.

The town of Windsor tells the NBC Connecticut Troubleshooters that deal fell through. Telling Industries has not responded to our calls for comment.
