Bond Commission to Consider Additional $20 Million for Crumbling Foundation Fund

The state program that provides assistance to homeowners whose concrete foundations are crumbling could be getting get another $20 million, but it would come a few months behind schedule.

Governor Ned Lamont has called for a special meeting of the state bond commission next Tuesday and funding for the crumbling basement program has been put on the agenda.

The state program ran out of money and NBC Connecticut Investigates previously reported that dozens of homeowners who had already signed contracts to replace their basements were left in limbo.
