IF YOU CAN DODGE A WRENCH: Study up on the five D's, grab a bunch of friends,and make your way to Winsted tonight for a little Dodgeball action. That's right, it's time to embrace your inner Vince Vaughn (or Ben Stiller, or the woman married to Ben Stiller, or the kid from Ed, or the guy from News Radio or even that pirate guy). The Northwest CT YMCA - Winsted Branch is sponsoring a Dodgeball League. Unfortunately registration is closed, but talk about a spectator sport! Games start at 7 p.m.
UNDISCOVERED: Discover the unidiscovered tonight in Hamden. The Space is once again playing host to some great bands, you've likely never heard of. First up is New Haven's Speak in Verse. The band met at UNH and came out sharing an interest in rocking out and making some new friends in the process. Then there's New York based rock/poppers The All Ways. Finally, enjoy the Sliders. The Long Islanders started out in basements and garages before breaking onto the scene in '07 with their demo EP. Now, they're getting ready to release their debut, coming-of-age, full-length rock-and-roll album ("City By the Sound.) The 11-track album is an eclectic mix of rock, funk, jazz and blues. Tickets for tonight's show are $10. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
