PLAYING THE CLASSICS: Usually recitals are filled with parents taking pictures of their children as they struggle through a piano solo or tip-toe through a tap dance. But tonight at Yale, you can see some classical guitar the way it was meant to be played. Benjamin Verdery is performing a Faculty Artist Recital at Morse Recital Hall. The program includes Bach's Cello Suite No. 6 in D major and Albéniz's Andalusian-inspired suite Cordoba.
DINING DOWN UNDER: Say G'day to Monday at Burton's Grill in South Windsor tonight. The restaurant is offering a special Australian Wine Dinner. Diners will be able to enjoy a delicious meal (try some pan-seared beef tenderloin on for size) paired with wines from South Australia's McLaren Vale region (including sauvignon blanc and cabernet sauvignon).
