A 5-year-old girl was hit by a car while walking to school with her mother in Hartford this morning, according to police, and the driver fled the scene.
The girl suffered a minor injury to the chin when she was struck at Shultas Place and Franklin Avenue at 7:47 a.m., police said.
The car was a tan four-door sedan, according to authorities.
Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call police.
