6/23: Bieber, Blues and Ballroom

CATCH IT:  This Just in.  Bieber Fever spreads to the XL Center tonight.  Tickets to see the latest teen idol's 7 p.m. show are $29.50-$49.50.

HAVE BLUES, WILL TRAVEL:  Fun piece of trivia about Blues Traveler:  their hit Run-Around was the longest charting radio single in Billboard history.  Blues Traveler has had their share of commercial success, but they've truly built their following through years of relentless high-octane touring.  Tonight, they bring their rock/blues/jazz/funk style (laced with harmonica) to Connecticut.  They're playing at the Ridgefield Playhouse at 8 p.m.  Tickets for the show are $65.

BUYING LOCAL:  Does 50 Cent still live in Connecticut?  Did he really ever?  Or does he just own the house for tax purposes?  These are life's tough questions.  Easier to answer are where you can see the hip-hop star in Connecticut, and when.  Four bits (as we like to call him) will play the Oakdale in Wallingford tonight.  Tickets for the show are $35 (or 70 X $0.50).  The show starts at 7:30 p.m.

CHECK YOURSELF:  This one is for fans of reality TV, and you know who you are.  Head to the Shops at Mohegan Sun tonight for "Reality Check," a live event featuring stars of your fave shows.  Tonight, it's all about dancing with the stars.  Edyta Sliwinska, Alec Mazo from Dancing with the Stars along with contestant (and former All My Children star) Aiden Turner will all be on hand for a live exhibition.  There's even a chance to get an autograph.  The fun starts at 7 p.m.

COCKTAILS AND DREAMS:  The International Festival of Art and Ideas is still going strong down in the Elm City.  Tonight, it's all about the adult beverages at 116 Crown with the Foodie Tour: The Art of the Cocktail.  Enjoy a master class and tasting at the hands of master mixologist (best job ever) John Ginnetti.  Sorry kids, this one's 21+.  Tickets are $25 and the liquor starts flowing at 5:30 p.m.
