6/7: Case of the Mondays

GOING GALA:  You're in store for a night of theatrical magic if you make your way down to the Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven tonight.  The Theatre is hosting their 2010 Gala.  Tony Award-winner Karen Ziemba will take the stage.  Ziemba is one Broadway's most versatile performers and she starred in Long Wharf's production of "Sylvia."  The Gala will serve as a celebration of the season and it'll be another chance to give audiences a glimpse of what the theatre is all about.  Food will even be provided by some of New Haven's finest restaurants.  Click here for ticket info.

WHO NEEDS SANDLER?:  With an act that "transcends the boundaries of style," The Cartells  have built a reputation as one of the go-to bands for weddings, parties and private functions of all sorts.  Well tonight, you can see what all the fuss is about.  The Cartells will perform at Mohegan's Wolf Den.  The band will actually play a pair of shows, and both are free.  The music starts at noon and 7 p.m.

WHO'S COUNTING?:  We love when restaurants and bars come up with creative ways to sell their Happy Hours.  Well, Fleming's Steakhouse has to be among the favorites.  Head over to the restaurant in West Hartford to partake in their 5 for $6 til 7 Bar Menu.  Flemings offers five premium cocktails, five award-winning wines and five signature appetizers for $6, seven days a week until 7pm.
