Accused Drug Dealer Detained in Stamford

It was another manic Monday for Stamford officers.

Shortly after the early afternoon arrest of Touissant Vogelsang, policeman witnessed an apparent drug deal around 6 p.m. on Adams Avenue.

While on patrol in that area after a report of drug activity, officers saw a hand-to-hand exchange between a man and a woman and were able to detain the man, police said.

Heath Campanelli, 30, had more than 30 bags of marijuana and seven bags of cocaine, along with more than $500 cash.

He was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to sell.

He was held on $2,500 bond and is due in court on June 29.
